Past - Jobs during college included working as an FBI clerk; as a paid staff assistant to retired Green Beret Lt. Colonel Charlie Gregor, the Campaign Manager for a U.S. Congressional Campaign in Kansas; and an internship with the U.S. Marshal's Service, mostly conducted research on fugitives, which led to a paid part-time job on a security detail assisting U.S. Deputy Marshals transport high-risk federal prisoners to and from Leavenworth Penitentiary to federal court in Topeka, Kansas.

From the Senate, entered the military and served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps until a training injury led to a mandatory medical exit. Following service in the military, entered the private sector and jumped at the opportunity to become a small business entreprenuer, establishing what would become a successfull private investigation-threat information (physical surveillance on persons stalking or making violent threats) corporation in Southern California in the 90's.

Also served as a field investigative practitioner conducting hundreds of investigations on high value insurance claims; performed executive protection; secured evidence in high stakes civil lawsuits; conducted physical surveillances and served on security details that included managing logistics and residential presence with A-list celebrities and UHNW families during periods of credible threats, which included stalkers.
In 2007 the successful business was sold, thereafter worked for two large national investigative corporations, serving as vice-president for one company, and managed operations and hundreds of private sector civil lawsuit and insurance investigations on the west coast.
Four years later in 2011, WA was re-established as a new corporate entity with a new business model as a boutique investigative firm that provides high-level physical surveillance and specialty investigative services to discreetly collect hard-to-get information and evidence at the street level. Identifying an industry need. The profile of the target client for the new business model was the "smart and informed type," who "gets it" and demands and appreciates a higher quality performance. Since 2011, a select clientele fitting that general definition has been the primary client base for WA and its associate investigative practitioners.
